Cambiar la vida de personas de escasos recursos interesadas en trabajar en la industria de la hospitalidad a nivel técnico es el objetivo de la fundación “Changing People ́s Lives”, -en español- “Cambiando vidas”, que nace en nuestro país gracias a los esfuerzos de The British Butler Institute, Hospitality and Butler y la Escuela de Administración de Instituciones ESDAI, de la Universidad Panamericana.
En el evento estuvieron presentes la Dra. Nancy Rosado, Directora de ESDAI; Gary Williams, Principal The British Butler Institute y Montserrat Barros, Fundadora de Hospitality and Butler.
En su mensaje, la Dra. Nancy Rosado indicó que “nos interesa capacitar en el más alto nivel de servicio a personas, para elevar los estándares de operación en los ámbitos turístico, hotelero y de la hospitalidad en nuestro país”.
“Con este entrenamiento las personas de escasos recursos que se desempeñen en la industria de la hospitalidad, podrán tener la oportunidad de acceder a mejores puestos de trabajo y a mejores salarios”, enfatizó.
Por su parte, Gary Williams resaltó la importancia de formar personal especializado en la industria de la hospitalidad en México, ya que el sector turismo nacional requiere invertir en hombres y mujeres capacitados.
A su vez Montserrat Barros expresó que “es una gran oportunidad poder compartir con nuestras asistentes la pasión por el servicio y el cuidado de los detalles para poder llegar a satisfacer las necesidades de los clientes más sofisticados”.
Para nosotros “ser parte de este proyecto, en el que se brindan herramientas para mejorar las oportunidades laborales de las asistentes a través de realización de entrenamientos en materia de hospitalidad con lo más altos estándares mundiales y sin costo, es nuestro granito
de arena que sin duda contribuirá a cambiar sus vidas”, enfatizó.
En el marco de los trabajos de la fundación, se llevó a cabo la certificación en hospitalidad y servicio de lujo, de 80 jóvenes pertenecientes a escuelas técnicas de los estados de México, Jalisco, Tlaxcala y Coahuila. Su selección partió de los mejores promedios de su generación para asistir de manera gratuita a esta certificación.
Las temáticas revisadas para obtenerla, fueron: Hospitalidad en el más alto nivel; Servicio de lujo; Actitud de servicio; Presencia física y lenguaje no verbal; Anticipación, consistencia y cuidado de los pequeños detalles.
